Jill N. Calvert was raised in Illinois and graduated Phi Beta
Kappa from the University of Illinois in 1994 with a Bachelors
degree in Political Science. She then attended and graduated
from the University of Georgia School of Law in Athens,
Georgia in 1997. After successfully becoming a member of the
North Carolina and South Carolina Bar, Ms. Calvert settled
down in Charlotte, North Carolina and began practicing workers
compensation law on behalf of injured clients.
Ms. Calvert has extensive experience in representing clients with
occupational diseases such as asbestosis and asbestos related
cancers. She has litigated numerous cases at the North Carolina
Industrial Commission on behalf of injured workers. She has
worked hard to negotiate favorable settlements for clients in
mediations. In addition, she also represents clients who have
become disabled from working who are fighting to get Social
Security disability benefits. She is a member of the North
Carolina Bar Association and North Carolina Advocates for
Justice. In her leisure time, Ms. Calvert enjoys hiking with her
Labrador Retrievers, watching live music, college sports and
reading.
